Leonardo Noeren Franco, 20 Mayıs 1977 San Nicolas – Arjantin doğumlu.

Leo Franco kariyerine ülkesinin Independiente takımında başladı. 1995-97 yılları arasında profesyonel olarak Independiente forması giyen Leo Franco, 1997'de İspanya’nın Merida takımına transfer oldu ve Avrupa kariyerine başladı.

Bir sezon La Liga ekibinde forma giyen Leo Franco, Merida küme düşünce Mallorca’ya transfer oldu. Henüz 21 yaşında olan Leo Franco bir sezon Mallorca’nın B takımında forma giydi.

1999 yılında Mallorca ile La Liga’ya tekrar dönüş yapan kaleci, ilk sezonunda 30 maçta forma giydi. 2000-01 sezonunda ise Leo Franco’lu Mallorca ligi üçüncü sırada tamamladı. Mallorca’da birinci kaleci olarak üç sezon daha oynayan Leo Franco, 2004 yılında Atletico Madrid’e transfer oldu.

Madrid ekibinde 5 sezon geçiren Arjantinli file bekçisi, La Liga’da toplam 301 maça çıktı. Arjantin milli takımının 2006 Dünya Kupası kadrosunda yer alan Leo Franco, toplam beş kez Arjantin milli takımında forma giydi.
